Our History
The tournament began in 2011, and over the years, it has raised millions of dollars in support of children’s health and local hockey development initiatives.
The games emphasize fair play, sportsmanship, and equal ice time, creating a positive and fun experience for young players. Beyond the competition, a significant part of the tournament’s mission is to teach children the importance of giving back to the community. Each player is encouraged to raise at least $100, with all proceeds going to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital, which provides critical healthcare services to children across Western Canada.
Since its inception, the tournament has grown significantly, attracting over 1,100 teams and raising over $4 million. The funds raised help support various programs, equipment, and research initiatives at the hospital, including pediatric oncology and critical care.
